Summary: A counter sales position responsible for increasing sales and customer satisfaction in the area of phone orders. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: prompt and courteous phone sales, knowledge of Motown’s inventory and computer system, employee relations, office procedures, and customer locations. Qualifications: 1. Associates Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience. 2. Initiative, alertness and self motivated temperament able to achieve personal as well as store goals. 3. Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. 4. Strong computer skills. Physical and Emotional Requirements: 1. Able to lift 40 pounds. 2. Able to be on the phone and talking to customers much of the day while seated in a chair. 3. Able to handle more than one task at a time while maintaining composure and a proper temperament. 4. Able to follow direction and route drivers to exceed customers’ expectations. 5. Able to be in a sales based environment. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: With corporate and immediate management, maintain or exceed personal and store goals in the areas of: 1. Answer phones promptly and professionally. 2. Check in and put away stock. 3. Pull orders for drivers. 4. Help with returns and credits. 5. Take a delivery when needed. 6. Up sell to and/or promote Motown’s branded lines. 7. Employee relations. Supervisor: This position reports to the Store Manager.
