The Sales and Business Development Manager will work closely with the VP of Group Sales, Brand or Product managers and other managers across the businesses. The successful leader will be responsible for promoting RPUI products and generating incremental profitable sales and market share to an assigned set of existing customers, developing new customers within the restoration market, as well as identifying potential opportunities and closing new business outside of the restoration market based on operational, manufacturing procurement, service, and distribution capabilities of the various businesses outside of the restoration market. Sales responsibilities will include all brands within RPUI and its Subsidiary companies with a high level of customer interaction, while taking the lead in developing and implementing strategies that will grow our existing client base and business volume. This position will utilize a CRM to track opportunities and document important customer information and market trends.
Drives additional sales
Develops and manages overall existing customer relationships for assigned accounts
Identifies volume growth opportunities, corporate prospects and builds value-driven, multi-level client relationships with key decision-makers in the organization to assess customer needs for the products we provide
Seeks new markets, applications, trends, and products, and defines a strategic action plan to secure commercial objectives for the short and long term
Thinks outside the box to persuasively communicate RPUI’s commercial approach to support volume contract negotiations over multiple years for business sustainability
Performs with success and demonstrates sales abilities through a history of sales goal achievement, reporting and activity planning with strong analytical problem-solving, written and oral communication skills—including active listening, setting expectations, and tracking results and actions
Works well independently with direction, but also has the ability to work as and with a team
Demonstrates the appropriate level of pushing the functional leaders and associates to meet or exceed customer expectations to capture great customer service, excellent product quality and responsiveness to our customers
Participates and contributes in regular meetings, as necessary
Collaborates with Sales Team and Quality Team to anticipate problems and resolve issues
Shares information on a regular basis about best practices or issues company-wide with team, plants, and the corporate office
Conveys company information in a consistent manner to all customers and team members with the goal of developing and maintaining industry-leading morale
Voices innovation opportunities for business development and trade shows
Knows the vocabulary of the products our group manufactures and sells
Represents the company at industry shows including securing delivery of product, as needed
