We are currently seeking a talented and creative person to join our Member Services team as a Membership Manager.
This position is responsible for presenting the value of SEMA Data Co-op products and services to both prospective and current members in a specific region or major geographical area. Prospects, recruits, manages, and maintains member relationships for SDC.Â Educates members and prospects on importance of effective product data management.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY
Develops and increases sales revenue to meet assigned annual targets.
Responsible for account development and strategies, territory planning to ensure high level of customer satisfaction is maintained.
Responsible for regular delivery of effective in-person sales presentations.
Excellent time management to maximize number of lead contacts, and stay on pace throughout the year in organizing work load to achieve sales goals.
Must be able to manage recruitment cycles effectively, understanding the need for effective follow-up strategies.
Use all available data to create effective selling strategies. Gather the data from the SDC CRM, SEMA member lists, and alternative outside sources.
Responsible to remain dedicated to resolving any issues or concerns with SDC products, services, or processes.
Ability to listen objectively and remain calm, using tact and diplomacy. Must be focused on providing solutions.
Maintains abreast with competitive activity and continuously develops new methods of attaining new customers.
Attend industry trade shows and other events to accumulate new leads and make productive contact with existing members.
Participate effectively in processes required for salesC
g;,hnzo;ruhg W8B7EGHDJ-, such as show planning sessions, marketing calendar development and sales meetings.
Represent SDC in managing customer experience at SEMA Show and other events.
Be fully knowledgeable about SDC, and all SDC products and services.
Have or develop knowledge of the automotive aftermarket industry.
When directed by management, perform other assignments and duties as required.
Reports to Vice President.
Develops relationships with customers.
Interacts with SEMA staff in all departments.
Serves as an SDC liaison in Diamond Bar, CA office.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Minimum 5 years successful sales experience.
4-year college degree preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM programs.
Strong face-to-face communication skills are a must.
Excellent verbal and writing skills required.
Comfortable in fast-paced environment.
Solid work ethic.
Ambitious, goal-oriented people preferred.
This position requires up to 50% travel. Frequently travel is outside the local area and overnight.
Software sales and automotive background a plus
