REPORTS TO: General Sales Manager - Automotive Aftermarket
This position is responsible for the growth and management of the specific territory.
Manage and grow the company’s current aftermarket business, in order to maximize growth and profitability in the surrounding states MI, MN, WI, IL, IN, OH, KY
Participate in the development and implementation of a business plan to increase sales by 50% over the next 5 years within the territory.
Develop and implement launch plan for introduction of new products.
Conduct targeted trade shows in North America.
Develop and increase sales revenue to meet assigned targets.
Conduct onsite meetings as necessary.
Prospecting potential customers and distributors.
Ability to attend AAPEX show in Las Vegas.
Cold calling on all prospective customers.
Create and edit product videos.
Utilize program management and organizational skills to ensure that all customer requests and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Position based in Cadillac, MI or Farmington Hills, MI
Some travel beyond the surround states may be necessary from time to time.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Aftermarket experience with an electronic product.
Customer experience in both traditional (e.g. NAPA/Balkamp, CARQUEST) and power retailer (e.g. Advance Auto, AutoZone, Pep Boys, O’Reilly, etc.) market segments.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
Ten or more years of automotive aftermarket related sales experience with the targeted account(s) and a track record of obtaining new business.
Bachelor of Science in a business concentration and technical experience required.
Five years of account management experience
