Daystar Products seeks a Supply Chain Manager, a pivotal player in the logistics planning process. If you negotiate effectively, identify problems as they develop, manufacture, store, and ship products, you could be the one. You must be able to create strategies by analyzing information and processes and present their findings to management, but also relay the strategies and tactics to your direct reports.
The voice of the Supply Chain Manager impacts all aspects of the manufacturing process. The successful candidate should be strong communicators who love to collaborate with others.
Supply Chain Management requires an understanding of accounting, legal documents, and to build lasting relationships to increase efficiency and focus on warehouse optimization.
Daystar Products hires veterans. Not a prerequisite, but it is a plus.
Supply Chain Manager Responsibilities:
Assist logistics process for the development of new products, inventory maintenance, manufacturing, shipment and delivery, and returns on products.
Keep detailed records, generate reports, and develop presentations to help management understand the logistics perspective.
Build relationships within the company and with external parties, such as suppliers, third party providers and distributors.
Read and comprehend legal documents, such as contracts or import/export agreements.
Understanding of principles of accounting and finance.
Collaborate with others from diverse backgrounds to identify problems and find solutions.
Supply Chain Manager Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a related field. Automotive experience preferred.
Ability to manage logistics of all aspects of supply chain, from product development to the shipment of finished items.
Experience with Multi-site ERP manufacturing and logistics software
Understanding of accounting or finance.
Must be able to comprehend legal documents.
Strong communication skills and a desire to build lasting relationships all over the world.
Command of current office software tools, including PowerPoint and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Limited travel required, approximately 10%
