Robotic Weld Programmer

Position Summary: The Robotic Weld Programmer will program and operate all aFe welding and cutting robots as well as advise and work with fixture builders to ensure fixtures are built in consideration of robot welds.    

Essential Roles & Responsibilities (other responsibilities may be assigned):

• Programs, sets up and operates robotic weld and/or cutting equipment.
• Creates robotic programs for welding and cutting robots, based on sample part parameters.
• Ensures that all off-line or on-line robot programs developed are efficient and that they adhere to the standards and specifications.
• Performs change overs to weld steel or aluminum.
• Visually inspects all welds to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Contributes to and advises on fixture design and fabrication to ensure conformance with robot weld requirements.
• Robotically welds fabrications with minimal hand welding operations.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows safety regulations.
• Wears all required PPE in accordance with safety regulations and manufacturing standards.
