The role of a Assembly Tech is to fulfill and assemble new orders provided from the Lead and Assistant Fulfillment/Shipping supervisors daily. Knowledge of part numbers, BOMS and products is key to this role. Being organized and having excellent communication with the supervisor and your team on quality, issues, parts needs and anything related to assembling and fulfilling new orders within 24-48 hours is required of this role. Meeting daily order quotas given by the Fulfillment/Shipping Supervisor is required of this role. Building finished goods, restocking shelves, taking inventory and identifying parts minimums daily is required of this role. This role reports to the Lead Fulfillment/Shipping Supervisor.
Position Responsibilities:
Check weekly facility task board daily. Follow procedure if your name is on the list for that weekly area.
Work with Fulfillment/Shipping Supervisor on fulfillment quota for the day
Perform final assembly and packaging of all new sales and service orders determined by your supervisor
Maintain safe, clean and organized working environment
Pulling shocks, springs and any parts needed to assemble orders and meet your daily quota is required.
Inspect and sign off on all orders you assemble and package before sending to final inspection
Meet for daily Fulfillment/Shipping meeting with your team
Restock your work station parts bins daily
Maintain equipment and tools within your designated work station
Update parts log of any items reaching minimum stock levels
Perform department monthly and quarterly inventory counts
Work on continuous improvements within the Fulfillment/Shipping department – Discuss weekly
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Team player with a positive can-do attitude
Basic computer skills needed (Office, Word, Excel)
Time management and organizational skills.
Detail oriented and able to multi-task
Experience:
1+ year of prior experience working with sub-assemblies and final assembly type work
Basic mechanical knowledge and background a plus
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Manufacturing Environment
Lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the work day
Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time
