Growing, fast-paced subsidiary of a global corporation that distributes remanufactured, used, OEM and aftermarket parts using industry leading information technology and strategic partnerships with the most respected manufacturers in the country seeks an experienced Automotive Catalog Manager to manage vendor catalogs, powertrain inventory, ACES and PIES data and pricing strategies.
The new Automotive Catalog Manager will be a cross-functional position working with Procurement, Sales and IT to ensure the company has the necessary data in the correct formats to easily display the right products to our customers on our website and via our APIs. The position will offer a great deal of independence and autonomy, but will be fully supported by the VP currently handling these responsibilities and the IT team. This position will be both strategic, helping to plan for future cataloging and pricing initiatives, and tactical, carrying out the day-to-day tasks necessary to keep the details on track.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Managing inventory levels and open purchase orders with suppliers to ensure we have the right products in stock at the right time
Processing stock orders to our software system and manage daily supplier shipments
Work with our third party warehouse to coordinate deliveries, exceptions and returns
Working hand in hand with our procurement and sales departments on ETA’s and supplier performance and outlook
Monitoring demand and analyzing data to anticipate future supply needs
Analyzing and developing pricing strategies to increase margin on certain products and part types
Cataloging products properly using or creating ACES and PIES data
Creating and maintaining monthly customer price files
Working with our vendors and internal IT department to streamline catalog, inventory and pricing updates
Providing feedback to management about supplier performance and pricing
Identifying and blacklisting certain parts that we should not sell due to warranty rate, shipping concerns, cataloging errors, etc.
Qualified candidates will:
Have 5+ years of cataloging, inventory management and/or pricing experience
Be detail orientated and able to successfully multi-task
Be able to make independent decisions based on sound judgment
Be professional, hard-working and easy to get along with
Be efficient on a computer and have experience with Microsoft Excel, SQL experience would be a plus
