We are seeking a Communications Manager to join our team! This position will be responsible for the creation and implementation of ongoing marketing communications. This includes all internal communications such as daily updates as well as external communications and press releases. The right candidate will have the know how to generate buzz on all social media platforms.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of a busy marketing communications calendar.
Working with manufacturer sponsors to fulfill communication requirements.
Create content and manage all press releases, social media posts, and other external communications.
Heavy posting of internal communications via our Extranet website.
Prepare detailed media activity reports.
Plan and manage the design, content, and production of marketing materials.
Work with graphic designers to create artwork for newsletters, national advertising, and other projects.
Compile and distribute reporting and proof of performance for various marketing programs.
Assist marketing department with national conference, trade show, and other event planning.
Database management – maintenance of all contact distribution lists.
Collaborate with other team members on marketing communications, promotions and programs.
Collaborate with Business Development Managers to provide updates on pertinent communications.
Assist other team members and departments as needed.
Bachelors’ degree
5+ years’ experience in a marketing or communications role.
Experience in the Automotive Aftermarket Industry a must.
Demonstrated experience managing internal & external communications from conception through completion.
Proven knowledge of postings on social media platforms.
Knowledge of email marketing software such as Constant Contact, Mail Chimp, etc.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Strong multi-tasking skills.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of leadership.
Excellent organizational skills and Detail oriented.
Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
Experience working across business functions and with a variety of teams.
